ABSTRACT PAINTING
My current series of abstracted works is grounded in a strong sense of place and shaped by an intuitive process. They trace a subtle line between abstraction and figuration. Inspired by the architectural forms and atmospheres of Italy and Greece, they do not follow a predetermined structure. Rather there is an interplay of intention and spontaneity creating a tension which teeters between balance and disorder.
