REBECCA BARNARD - PAINTING
2024 - I am working on a series of abstract paintings in oil based mixed media, rooted in the vibrant tapestry of street life, through abstract imagery and an emotive, vibrant palette. These paintings explore a re-occurring theme in my work; the ways and places humans meet and intersect and fine line we tread between chaos and order. Here, I draw inspiration from the sights and sounds of the streets: the fragmented conversations, the transient moments that often go unnoticed.
As with all elements of my practice, I invite viewers to immerse themselves in the world I have created, to feel the energy and to see beyond the surface.
