My abstract paintings reflect an enigmatic quality, driven by a deeply intuitive process. There is often a subtle play between abstraction and figuration. Each work evolves through a series of emotional and practical decisions that revolve around themes, composition, colour, and mood. Rather than adhering to a predetermined structure, these paintings emerge organically, capturing the complexity of the creative journey. This dynamic interplay between intention and spontaneity makes the works both mysterious and expressive, allowing for open-ended interpretation for the viewer.
2024 - I am working on a series of abstract paintings in oil based mixed media, rooted in the vibrant tapestry of street life. These paintings explore a re-occurring theme in my work; the ways and places humans meet and intersect. . Here, I draw inspiration from the sights and sounds of the streets: the fragmented conversations, the transient moments that often go unnoticed.
